Christopher Farr are moving to a new expanded space in Chelsea Wharf and will open their doors during LDF with an exciting installation by Tord Boontje showcasing his new work for this collaboration between Christopher Farr, Moroso and Studio Tord Boontje.
The installation will reflect various themes and will include fabrics, wallpaper, rugs and furniture especially designed and produced for this worldwide debut at LDF.
Christopher Farr, a brand best known for working with renowned Artists and Designers are thrilled to work with Boontje for the first time on both a new fabric and wallpaper collection as well as rugs.
The designs are based on the English Garden, and are both painterly and graphic at the same time. They share distinctive characteristics of Tord's romantic style, and Tord describes the collection as 'less naive in it’s composition and more sophisticated and elegant - both the Rug and Fabric designs create less simplistic formations showing intricate detail'.
There are three new fabric designs, Flowers and Bees, Orchard, and Field, each are printed on the finest Belgium Linen in vivid colours.
The wallpaper designs are large scale; Garden, depicts a magical impression looking down on a garden, whilst the Horse design is bold and captivating.
The two new rug designs, Directionless and Flowers have been produced using the best finely knotted hand spun Persian yarn and are available in a limited edition of 10. T
Tord shares a long standing relationship with Moroso who he has been working with since 2004, he designed this new collection of organic shaped furniture with Field for Christopher Farr Cloth fabric in mind. This is the first time Moroso pieces will be shown covered in beautiful patterned fabrics creating a compelling and contrasting collection.
The exhibition will run from 17th - 30th September, at 32/33 Chelsea Wharf, 15 Lots Road, London SW10 0QJ
