The preference for pink in popular culture dates back to the palettes of the
Renaissance artists, through the pastel pink fashions and Sevres porcelaine of the
18th Century, the Post-Impressionists' sweeping skies in the 19th century and Schiaparelli’s ‘shocking’ shade and the bold pink of the Pop Art movement in the 20th century.
A brilliant colour to use within interiors, it adds an instant pop to a space, as well as working wonderfully as the perfect counterbalance to cooler brights such as green, blue and yellow.
It's a colour we love to use for all its vibrancy and life.
