BIG TOP TAPE TRIM

Initially an abstract painter, Slade School graduate Christopher Farr won a Boise Traveling Fellowship to Peru in 1975. There, Farr became enraptured by pre-Columbian textiles, and determined to explore ways to marry his love of abstract art with ancient textile arts, he traveled to Western Turkey to learn rug making. His modernist interest in colour and form, combined with the age-old techniques of hand dyeing and hand looming, helped make Christopher Farr one of the preeminent rug designers of today.

We are proud to be celebrating Christopher Farr in a collaborative range of interior furnishing textiles that includes upholstery fabrics, curtain fabrics, drapery, blinds, and more. Known for his luxury textiles and designer rugs, Farr’s designs bring together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary interior design, making them perfect for creating statement pieces in modern homes. Railroad Border Trim is an embroidered passementerie created in collaboration with Kit Kemp, exclusively for Christopher Farr Cloth. Inspired by the rhythmic charm of railway tracks, this bold and whimsical trim features a repeat of embroidered lines and playful colour blocks, carefully stitched with 100% cotton thread. The design celebrates artisanal craftsmanship with a lively and contemporary edge.

CIRCUS PIPING TRIM
