The Christopher Farr showroom was transformed into a quiet, powerful tribute to place, heritage, and community through our collaboration with Fogo Island Workshops. Designed by Ernst Hupel, a resident of Fogo Island and founder of 2H Interior Design, the installation featured a selection of wallpapers and fabrics from our Fogo Island collection.

The space captured the spirit of Newfoundland, where wallpaper once served not only as insulation in unheated homes but as a symbol of care, creativity, and comfort. Rooted in shared values and a deep respect for place, our collaboration with Fogo Island Workshops, led by Zita Cobb of Shorefast, translates the island’s cultural and environmental heritage into textile form.

In this installation, playful colours, elemental shapes, and layered textures adorn the space and echo the raw beauty of Newfoundland and the interiors of the award-winning Fogo Island Inn. The installation marks the first time this design legacy has been brought beyond the shores of Fogo Island.
