ClothShop presents Illuminating Worlds: Light as Storytelling for London Craft Week.
A collaborative exhibition showcasing a series of one-off hand-crafted lampshades that reimagine its surface as a site for storytelling, where light reveals colour and narrative.
Created in collaboration with leading contemporary artists and makers, each piece brings a distinct visual language, forming a body of work that sits between art and design.
Paired with handcrafted bases by master makers, the works will be available to acquire, with proceeds supporting Bridges for Communities.
Featuring lampshades by Alvaro Picardo, Freya Marton of Black Lion Workshops, Rory Hutton, Eliza Downes, Tony Green, Natasha Hulse, Olaf Hajek, Alice Kettle, EBO Studio with bases by Annie Strachan, Nicola Tassie, Cahoots Workshops, 1690 Ceramics, Porta Romana and Black Lion Workshops.
Alvaro Picardo leads a hand-painted lampshade workshop at our London showroom. Participants will create their own shade to take home, alongside a lampbase by the Samantha Foundation. Limited spaces; advance booking required
