A room bathed in sunlight, where joy radiates from every surface. Array wallpaper from the Makoto Kagoshima collection spills across the walls in vibrant harmony with Fleur Étoilées in Lemon, which upholsters the chair from the Popus Editions collection like a whispered secret between two kindred prints. This space feels as though the patterns were dreamed up together - a bright symphony of colour and character.

RAOUL DUFY

Born in Le Havre and trained at Paris’ Ecole des Beaux-Arts, French Fauvist painter Raoul Dufy was strongly influenced by impressionists such as Monet and Pissarro, and by Matisse, from whom he inherited a love of riotous colour. He became renowned for a vibrant decorative style that – although it may not have won him the critical attention afforded to his more socially concerned contemporaries – translated beautifully into ceramics and textile design. In 1911, Dufy set up in a small factory to design and print fabrics for the couturier Poiret and the textile company Bianchini-Férier in Lyon.
