COLOUR ODYSSEY

In our London King’s Road showroom, we welcome acclaimed interior designer Peter Mikic for our latest installation, Colour Odyssey, encompassing Christopher Farr rugs and Christopher Farr Cloth, alongside art and objects from his personally sourced collection. Under Mikic’s direction, the showroom has been transformed by his vibrant, bold aesthetic into an energising and inviting space - echoing the glamour and cinematic Art Deco style he brought to the acclaimed Faena Hotel in New York.

An odyssey through colour, texture, and form — Mikic’s signature exuberance brings new life to our London space.

A MODERN COLLECTOR'S SPACE

From richly veined marbles to hand-knotted silks, Mikic’s material palette captures a sense of refined drama.

ORCHESTRATION OF TEXTURE AND PATTERN

Known for his distinctive approach to design, Mikic focused his starting point on a celebration of pattern and colour, inspired by the pattern of Raoul Dufy (Christopher Farr Cloth wallcovering and fabrics), and the importance of colour in life, as expressed by Josef Albers Colour Theory, (the new CF Editions colourway to the Homage to the Square Series). From the layering of colour and patterns further depth is given by use of materials; richly veined coloured marbles, malachite and bronze sculpture.

Mikic began with a celebration of pattern and colour, drawing on Raoul Dufy’s motifs and Josef Albers’ colour theory.

A COLLECTION OF PATTERNS TELLS ONE STORY

A self-confessed antique market addict,

Mikic relishes in combining unexpected finds with high ticket collectibles, or upcoming artist and makers, all captured by his discerning eye and instinct for what works. Throughout, the curated art and objects further build on the personality of the space, giving an added elegance and glamour, all of which are for sale. With a graphic sensibility, stemming from his design hero David Hicks, Mikic has selected bold pattern and abstract designs, with rich textures from Christopher Farr wool and silk hand knotted rugs to combinations of Christopher Farr Cloth wallcoverings, textiles, passementerie and ClothShop cushions.

Designed for living, made for life — indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between.

FAENA HOTEL NEW YORK

From Faena New York to our Peter Mikic Edit showroom installation, a cinematic thread of glamour runs throughout Peter Mikic’s world. His interiors feel at once nostalgic and modern, part Metropolis film set, part contemporary masterpiece. In both settings, the spirit of 1920s Art Deco is reimagined through colour, texture, and form: red, gold, and honey-yellow hues shimmer against lacquered walnut veneers and polished metal details, conjuring an atmosphere of opulence and allure.

At Faena, Mikic’s vision unfolds like a movie scene - bold yet meticulously composed. Pattern, proportion, and material work in concert to create interiors that feel both grand and intimately personal. This dialogue continues in our London showroom, where the Peter Mikic Edit translates his distinctive palette into a lighter, fresher narrative. Navy blues and verdant greens, floral patterns bring a sense of ease and modern vitality, while the signature Mikic red thread remains, curved silhouettes, walnut veneer furniture, and accents of gold that capture his unmistakable touch.

Together, these spaces tell a story of modern nostalgia - confident, tactile, and irresistibly stylish. They invite you not merely to look, but to step inside the scene, where every surface glows with bold theatricality and the timeless promise of glamour.
