COLLECTION

QA of CFC-689

These unique wallpaper designs are from the archive of the late British Abstract artist Sandra Blow. Known for her geometric and organic shapes and larger scale, Blow was also a true colourist; her ability to make hues resonate was often compared to Matisse and Miró.

The journey of this unique collection began when Christopher Farr Cloth was given exclusive access to Blow’s original artwork and extensive archive. This exploraiton into the artist uncovered hundreds of polaroid photos, personal photographs and handwritten notes. The collection comprises five designs, including dramatic shapes that evoke the vast landscape of Cornwall in England, linear patterns that follow the flow of the ocean, and collage effects that reflect Blow’s earlier work. Produced as non-woven and grasscloth wallcoverings, the collection offers a painterly and textural finish.
