COLLECTION
In collaboration with Japanese design studio Nendo, we introduce a new textile
collection, ‘Sky Drops’. Inspired by the ephemeral beauty and movement
of rain, the collection explores the shifting moods of rainfall through five distinctive textile designs,
each capturing a unique atmospheric quality.
In Japanese, there are over 40 words to describe different types of rain, while in English, there
are just a handful. This subtle richness in language reflects Japan’s deep sensitivity to nature
and emotion. Through our collaboration with Nendo, we sought to express this cultural nuance,
merging Eastern sensibility with the artisanal depth of Christopher Farr Cloth to create a collection
that feels both poetic and purposeful, capturing the rythm of rain.
Cloudy Day, Cloudy Night, Haze, Drizzle, and Squall make up this special collaboration with Nendo.
Our fall launch also features Asama Ecru, a luxurious sheer fabric, along with a selection of playful
yet durable wallpapers.
ABOUT NENDO
Nendo is a Japanese design studio founded in 2002 by Oki Sato, a Canadian-born Japanese designer. The name
“Nendo,” meaning “clay” in Japanese, reflects the studio’s philosophy of creativity, adaptability, and flexibility
- shaping ideas with subtle refinement. Known for their minimalist aesthetic infused with wit and subtle humour,
Nendo’s designs often use simple forms to surprise and delight - what Sato calls a “!” moment. The studio works
across a wide range of disciplines including product design, furniture, architecture, interiors, fashion, and art
installations. They have collaborated with leading global brands such as Louis Vuitton and Cappellini, and have
been named Designer of the Year by prestigious institutions including Maison & Objet and Wallpaper magazine.
