Hubert Zandberg presents Modernism, a celebration of Brazilian modernism, at our King’s Road showroom, where mid-century architecture and design come together.
Brazilian modernism has long been a defining influence in Hubert’s work. His extensive personal collection of Brazilian furniture and art, alongside a deep appreciation for the country’s architectural legacy, forms a key part of his aesthetic. This installation draws directly from that connection.
Inspired by the visionary works of Oscar Niemeyer and Roberto Burle Marx, Hubert has transformed the showroom into an immersive living space. Designed with rich dark woods, tactile fabrics and rugs, sculptural planting, and African-inspired details, the space reflects his 360-degree approach to creating layered, worldly environments.
Following the lead of Niemeyer’s love of organic curves and where bold architecture meets with tropical environment, Hubert plays with layering and graphic forms to optimal effect. From textural qualities to the oversize leafy planting and sculptural forms, every detail has been thoughtfully considered.
